TNA recently received a memo over the transom and has ascertained its authenticity. The memo, which was sent to the National Republican Congressional Committee in an email last week, attacks New York Democratic State Sen. Darrel Aubertine, who is contemplating a bid for the Congressional seat soon to be vacated by Rep. John McHugh, a Republican who was appointed by President Obama to serve as Secretary of the Army.

The GOP perceives Aubertine to be vulnerable on taxes and gun rights, according to the memo, which was written by a well known Washington-based political consultant with longtime ties and a hefty contract with the NRCC.

The New York Daily News reported earlier today that the NRCC has started running robocalls against Aubertine, who remains undecided about entering the race but is considered the favorite to win the Democratic nod.

It appears the GOP is up to their old tricks and plan once again to utilize the politics of personal destuction. I’ve posted the full memo after the jump.
