Three days ago, I noted that RNC Chairman Michael Steele was taking some serious heat on his blog, Steele for RNC Chairman, from the right for his comments about Rush Limbaugh.
Even after he had personally apologized to Limbaugh (the way Randy Marsh ‘apologized’ to Jesse Jackson), users on his blog were demanding he apologize (again), read the Constitution (Limbaugh’s), and resign; calling him yellow, weak-kneed, and spineless — for throwing Limbaugh under the bus on D.L. Hughley’s show.
As of 12:40 AM, the Steele for RNC Chairman blog is linking directly to the RNC’s homepage. One has to wonder if the RNC has taken the site down in response to the attacks being launched there by the conservative base.
I have sent an email to the Office of the Chairman asking if we can expect to see the Steele blog back online again soon. I will post a response when I receive one.
UPDATE (March 7, 2009):
By using the google, I’ve been able to locate a few plethora of blog posts trashing Steele to support my claims. Here are some available screenshots:

UPDATE (March 8, 2009):
The RNC communications team has yet to respond to my emails. What the RNC has done in the meantime is delete the link to Steele’s former blog from the “Blog” drop-down menu on gop.com, which is where I originally found it.
Now, I can’t even access Steele’s ‘Blueprint for Tomorrow‘ which was probably a great read.
The RNC takes down Steele’s means of communicating with the public, still lists Mike Duncan as its chairman, steals Obama’s Marxist graphics, and continues to deride former Sen. Clinton’s spending.
I wish someone at the RNC would tell me what it all means!
In any event, I think I’ve been better to Michael Steele than this NYT profile. It’s pretty harsh.
One of two things may happen:
1. This will spell the end of Steele’s tenure as the RNC Chairman.
2. The right will rush to defend Steele against the onslaught of the liberal media.

Awwwww. The leader of the GOP, Rush “Party Before Country” Limbaugh, has spoken! HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Who thought the death of a political Party could be such fun?
Dammit. Why am I feeling sorry for Micheal?
*remembers him pretending to be a democrat to get black votes*
*thinks about his attempt to be “street” on dl hughely*
*recalls ridiculous coonish behavior, trying to ‘be black’*
Nope, not feeling sorry at all phahahahahahaha

calling him yellow, weak-kneed, and spineless
No proof? Shocker! I would bet anything negative posted about Steele was from left wing haters.
Re: Olby Sucks
Yellow, weak-kneed, and spineless - were all separate insults hurled at Steele by people that were saying he shouldn’t have called Rush ‘incendiary.’
There would be proof - if I had the good sense to make a screenshot before the blog was taken down. My first post, where I noted all of those comments had been made, was written when the Steele blog was still up.
I didn’t know the RNC would be so soft and shut Steele’s blog down. In the words of Michael Steele, “my bad.”
I find it hard to believe he took the blog down due to a couple posts. How many posts were there from left wing haters hurling things like “uncle tom” and “massa” and all the other usual racist insults? Any recollection?
There were at the very least 3-4 pages of them (i.e. 30-40 comments) - I know this because I went through 3 or 4 pages.
I didn’t see any “uncle tom” or “massa”’s - I think it’s far more likely a right wing asshole like you would drop that. Classy.
Note: almost as classy as earlier commenter’s use of “coonish.”
Go check out the “newshounds” if you want to see classy.
Newshounds? lol Too funny, why go there to read right-wing tripe when we have you?

I posted a few not so flattering post on Steeles blog and I was not alone the dissatisafaction with his performance thus far was pretty unaimous and the criticisms were scathing and harsh but reasoned so they were not from the loons on the left.
Steel is about as wellcome as a tatooed Barbie doll.
Somtin just aint right about him.
We thought we were getting Bill Cosby but we got Bill Maher in black face.
